The quality of this waste coat is superb. How they are selling them at that price I'll never know. I'm a size18 and I ordered 3XL but had to send it back and ordered 2XL and it's a perfect fit. This was all done in two days so excellent service also. It's a beautiful leather, fully lined with and has an inside pocket. Also the lacing at the sides can be loosened to suit your figure. I honestly can't fault it, best buy in years...
I've been searching for a leather waistcoat for quite a while, but without success. I have never been able to find one that fits properly. After reading the reviews for this waistcoat, I decided to take a chance and order one and I'm so pleased I did. I ordered a 4XL and when laid flat, the armpit-to-armpit measurement is 23 1/2 inches. This is with the side lacing at its tightest, although obviously the lacing can be make looser, giving more room. The reason I've dropped a star is because of the heavy dye on the leather laces. My hands were black when I tightened the laces. I tried using some good quality leather balsam on the laces to see if this solved the problem, but it didn't. I, therefore, purchased some new leather laces and this has solved the problem.
The other thing I have problems with is armholes, as I have very chunky upper arms. I am pleased to say there is plenty of room in the armholes, which would allow for a thick jumper to be worn under the waistcoat.
The leather was of very good quality, the garment is nicely made and all-in-all, I'm very pleased with the purchase.
